Adventure Sports

Adventure sports are popular in Cancun and those looking for an adrenalin rush will have plenty to choose from. Try bungee jumping, zip lines, climbing walls and trampolines.
 

Zip Lines

There are a few locations where you can try this exhilarating sport: 

  • Selvatica Zip Line Adventure Tour
    Experience the thrill of flying on two miles of zip lines, connected by platforms, high above the jungle canopy. Selvatica’s Extreme Adventure Zip Line Family Tour caters for all ages - as young as 3 years old.
     
  • Zip Line (Tirolesa) in Garrafon Park
    Fly over Isla Mujeres on Garrafón Park’s zip line. The zip line starts at the top of a 42-foot tower built on the highest part of the park and zooms pasts cliffs and waves. Visitors must be at least 13 years old to use the zip line.
     
  • XPLOR EcoPark
    At the adventure eco-park Xplor, there are two miles of zip lines that take you on an exhilarating ride above trees, caves and cenotes. Be prepared to get wet! Located 4 miles south of Playa del Carmen, or 35 minutes from Cancun International Airport.
     

Bungee Jumping

Cancun was the first city in Mexico to offer bungee jumping. There are three platforms with the most famous being the Regio Bungee. This is one of the highest in Mexico at 70 metres and has been operating since 1998.
 

Climbing Tower

ClimberTower at Garrafon Reef Park is a 15 metre (50 feet) climb up a vertical tower. At the top is a platform with magnificent views. Ring the bell at the top to celebrate your success. To make the climb, visitors should be at least 13 years old.
 

Adventure Sports Parks

  • XPLOR Ecopark
    The park focuses on adventure tourism with a daily capacity of 1200 visitors who can enjoy different activities: swimming, zip-lines, rafts and individual travel through caves - landing in cenotes. This new concept includes a half-mile underground swim, zip line with 13 towers up to 30 metres high which takes the adventurer along three kilometres of water caves and cenotes.
